Starting in Group B, Karnataka secured their spot in the knockout stage with wins against Rajasthan and Assam, along with a draw against Jharkhand.
In the semi-final, Karnataka outplayed Mizoram 2-0 to advance to the final showdown. The title clash against Punjab concluded 1-1, with Karnataka clinching the championship 5-4 in the penalty shootout. Subhathra A scored Karnataka’s opening goal, countered by Tanveer Kaur for Punjab, before Madhumetha K sealed the win with a decisive penalty.
The U13 ASMITA National Football League featured eight teams split into two groups, with the top two from each group progressing to the semi-finals. The season commenced with City Leagues organized by 25 state associations, involving 392 teams and over 6,500 players in a 9v9 format, culminating in the national round.
The ASMITA Football League 2025-26 highlighted the growth of grassroots women’s football through successful City League competitions nationwide. The tournament now advances to the Zonal and National stages, with 20 state associations participating across four zones, promoting youth football development.
