Marking 12 years of the Narendra Modi-led Union government, Kerala Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Rajeev Chandrasekhar claimed that the state had seen significant development under the Prime Minister’s leadership. He mentioned increased investments in railways, road infrastructure, welfare schemes, and drinking water projects initiated by the Centre. Chandrasekhar emphasized the growth in railway allocations, benefits to farmers under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, and welfare initiatives benefiting millions in Kerala.
The BJP leader stressed the importance of development and economic strength over mere promises in Kerala’s politics. Chandrasekhar criticized the state’s economic challenges and fiscal crisis, attributing them to past policies. He also criticized the Congress for making unrealistic promises despite the state’s financial difficulties. Chandrasekhar highlighted India’s progress in technology and innovation under PM Modi, citing advancements in startups, digital infrastructure, and welfare programs.
Chandrasekhar pointed out the Central government’s support for various projects in Kerala, such as the Vizhinjam port, Bharatmala highway program, and Ayushman Bharat. He advocated for embracing economic growth, investment, and infrastructure-led progress for Kerala’s future development in alignment with India’s overall growth trajectory.
