Kerala’s Health Minister Veena George has come under scrutiny, with the state’s Leader of Opposition, V.D. Satheesan, claiming that people mock her. Satheesan accused the CPI-M of spreading false information about George’s alleged injury during a protest in Kannur. He asserted that the party’s actions have led to unrest and arrests of KSU workers.
Satheesan criticized top officials, including the Minister, Speaker, Chief Minister, and CPI-M state secretary, for allegedly misleading the public about the Kannur incident. He condemned the party for inciting violence under false pretenses, leading to destruction of property and injuries. Satheesan demanded the withdrawal of charges against the arrested workers and called for legal action against the CPI-M state secretary.
The Opposition leader dismissed the alleged attack on the Minister as a diversion tactic from healthcare issues. He emphasized that no serious injuries were reported, refuting claims of a planned surgery. Satheesan vowed to address the matter through political and legal means, urging an end to the violence.
