Khammam Aces claimed a nail-biting eight-run win against Karimnagar Diamonds in a high-scoring match during the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s TG20 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Half-centuries by Mickil Jaiswal and K Himateja propelled the Aces to 213/6, with skipper CV Milind’s 4/21 spell crucial in defending the total.
Karimnagar Diamonds made an early impact by dismissing Aces’ openers quickly. However, Himateja’s aggressive batting, including a rapid half-century and a key partnership with G Sai Krishna Reddy, turned the game around. Despite some setbacks, Jaiswal’s explosive innings of 64 off 34 balls boosted the Aces to a challenging total.
In response, Karimnagar Diamonds faced early setbacks but staged a comeback led by Satwik Reddy’s aggressive batting. Reddy’s quick half-century and a remarkable over with 28 runs kept the chase alive. However, timely wickets by Aces, including Reddy’s dismissal, and disciplined bowling in the final over secured the victory for Khammam Aces.
