Union Parliamentary Minister Kiren Rijiju commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for becoming India’s longest-serving elected PM, highlighting the significant governance achievements under his leadership. Rijiju emphasized the transformative impact of the past 12 years on the lives of citizens, propelling India towards becoming a ‘developed nation’.
Describing the occasion as historic, Rijiju noted that PM Modi’s tenure of 4,399 days signifies not just political stability but also a substantial national transformation. He emphasized the shift towards a vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ initiated by Modi, aiming to elevate India to a developed status by 2047.
Rijiju pointed out that one of the key aspects of the Modi government has been its tangible influence on the common man, middle-class, and the underprivileged. He highlighted the remarkable improvements in the lives of people, contrasting it with previous administrations where visible changes were limited.
Comparing PM Modi with his predecessors, Rijiju stressed that Modi’s focus on development and long-term national objectives sets him apart. He argued that the Prime Minister’s commitment to ‘Viksit Bharat’ from the outset of his term distinguishes him from past leaders, emphasizing a new era of progress and transformation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently surpassed Jawaharlal Nehru’s record to become India’s longest-serving elected PM, marking a significant milestone in his leadership journey that began in 2014 and continued with consecutive electoral victories in 2019 and 2024.
