Sunit Chowrasia, a 31-year-old golfer from Kolkata, secured a three-shot win at the PGTI NexGen Vijay Kumar Memorial in Lucknow. With a final-round one-under 69, Chowrasia finished at nine-under 201 to claim his second consecutive victory on the DP World PGTI NexGen tour. His triumph marked his second title of the season, earning him a prize of INR 3,17,875.
Reflecting on his win, Chowrasia expressed his delight at the back-to-back victories, emphasizing the nerve-racking moments during the final round. Despite a shaky start with a bogey, he managed to maintain control with a total of five birdies and four bogeys throughout the round. This win also propelled him to the top of the DP World PGTI NexGen Order of Merit.
