Krishak Bharati Cooperative Ltd (KRIBHCO) is set to hold a national cooperative conference in Panchkula, Haryana, focusing on the theme “Prosperity through Cooperation — Role of Cooperatives in Sustainable Agriculture.” The event will address policy and implementation strategies to advance sustainable agriculture, enhance the role of primary agricultural credit societies, ensure income stability for small farmers, and fortify cooperative-based agricultural models in response to climate change challenges.
The conference will feature Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation Amit Shah as the chief guest, marking a significant step towards realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Prosperity through Cooperation.” Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will also participate as a special guest during the event.
As part of the conference activities, Minister Shah will digitally inaugurate the Milk Cooling Centre at the Salempur plant in Bhiwani and the HAFED Atta Mill in Jatusana, Rewari. Additionally, he will distribute RuPay Platinum Debit Cards to cooperative bank beneficiaries in Haryana and present registration certificates to the Presidents of M-PACS established by Haryana KRIBHCO.
Moreover, Minister Shah will unveil a portal showcasing diverse initiatives undertaken during the International Year of Cooperatives. The conference will emphasize sharing advanced agricultural knowledge, facilitating access to affordable credit, promoting modern technologies adoption, and offering organic and climate-resilient agricultural practices to farmers through cooperatives.
Over the years, KRIBHCO has positively impacted millions of farmers nationwide through fertilizer supply, agricultural advisory services, and farmer-centric programs. The national conference in Panchkula is a crucial move towards steering the cooperative movement in a new direction under the International Year of Cooperatives — 2025.
