Veteran singer Kumar Sanu reminisced about recording the iconic song “Aankhon Se Tune Yeh Kya Keh Diya” from the 1998 hit movie “Ghulam,” starring Aamir Khan. He expressed that he sensed the special quality of the melody right from the start.
Sanu recently shared a video of the revamped version titled “Aankhon Se Tune” from the upcoming film “Bhai Tera Star Hai.” He expressed joy in witnessing the enduring love and appreciation for this timeless classic.
The singer mentioned, “Certain songs remain etched in your memory forever. When I first sang ‘Aankhon Se Tune Yeh Kya Keh Diya’ for Ghulam, I knew it was unique. It’s truly heartening to see its continued adoration through the years and now being embraced by a new generation.”
In addition, Sanu praised the new rendition of the classic, stating, “It’s always heartwarming to witness a classic being reimagined with such affection and respect. The fresh team has done a remarkable job infusing new vitality into this ageless tune.”
The film “Ghulam” features Aamir Khan and Rani Mukerji in lead roles, with a storyline reminiscent of Vishesh Films’ 1988 production “Kabzaa,” inspired by Elia Kazan’s “On the Waterfront.”
“Bhai Tera Star Hai,” starring Raghav Juyal, revolves around an actor burdened by cricket gambling debts and facing a life-threatening deadline. His fabricated story about his sister triggers a chaotic chain of events involving confused criminals, failed crimes, and mayhem unfolding across London.
The movie also stars Sanjay Kapoor, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Barkha Singh, and several other actors in significant roles. “Bhai Tera Star Hai” is scheduled for release on July 30.
