Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait, expressed condolences to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the death of an Indian national in an attack on Kuwait International Airport. The Amir condemned the Iranian attacks on Kuwaiti lands and airspace, including the recent assault on the airport that killed an Indian community member.
In a phone call, the Amir emphasized the violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and international law by the attacks. He appreciated India’s support and solidarity in preserving Kuwait’s security and stability. Both leaders discussed the strong relations between their countries and the regional security situation.
The Amir also extended heartfelt sympathy for the injured and prayed for their speedy recovery. Prime Minister Modi, in turn, expressed concern over escalating tensions and reiterated India’s condemnation of attacks on Kuwait’s sovereignty. He called for de-escalation, dialogue, and diplomacy to restore peace and stability in the region.
