Kyrgyzstan Health Minister Damirbek Osmonov and Indian Envoy Birender Singh Yadav recently visited the National Centre of Oncology and Haematology in Bishkek. They were there to observe the Bhabhatron-2 cancer treatment machine, which had been upgraded with a new Cobalt-60 source donated by India.
The Bhabhatron-2 machine, originally gifted by the Indian government, can now treat ten times more patients per day after the Cobalt-60 source replacement. This upgrade was a generous contribution from India to the Kyrgyz Republic, as highlighted by the Indian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan.
In a separate event, Union Minister of State for External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh, met with Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Zheenbek Kulubaev, during the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Cholpon Ata. The ministers discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and strengthen the partnership between India and Kyrgyzstan.
