Substitute Rei Tachikawa scored a stunning late goal, helping Jamshedpur FC secure a comeback win in their first away match of the season against East Bengal FC in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2025-26. The match, held at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata, saw Jamshedpur overturn the deficit to claim a 2-1 victory. This win marked their third consecutive victory in the league.

Jamshedpur started the game strongly, displaying intent from the onset. Despite an early goal by Messi Bouli being ruled offside, the team continued to press forward. Players like Vincy Barretto and Nikola Stojanovic posed threats to the East Bengal defense, with organized play both in attack and defense. The hosts managed to take the lead in the 41st minute, putting Jamshedpur on the back foot before halftime.

In the second half, Jamshedpur displayed urgency in their quest for an equalizer. Stephen Eze made a crucial defensive clearance early on and later scored the equalizing goal from a corner. The match intensified as both teams sought a winning goal, with Jamshedpur creating numerous attacking opportunities. The decisive moment came in the 87th minute when Rei Tachikawa’s superb strike secured the lead for Jamshedpur.

The Men of Steel successfully held onto their lead during added time, clinching a memorable victory and extending their impressive form in the league. Their next match is against Inter Kashi at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on March 6.
