Latvia secured the men’s title by defeating Germany 20-15 in the final, marking their first 3×3 World Cup victory. This win also made Latvia the first men’s team to achieve a collection of major international honors, including Olympic gold at Tokyo 2020. Serbia clinched the bronze by beating France 20-19.

In the women’s category, the United States emerged victorious by narrowly defeating Australia 21-20 in the final match. Mikaylah Williams, who scored the winning basket, was honored as the tournament’s MVP. This victory marked the U.S. women’s fourth 3×3 World Cup title, with previous wins in 2012, 2014, and 2023.

The Netherlands secured the bronze medal in the women’s competition with a 21-14 win over Azerbaijan. The tournament, which lasted seven days, brought together 40 teams from across the globe and drew over 100,000 spectators to witness the thrilling matches.

The FIBA 3×3 World Cup, originally known as the FIBA 3×3 World Championship, held its inaugural event in Athens, Greece, in August 2012. Initially featuring a mixed event with teams composed of 2 men and 2 women, the tournament now consists of separate events for men and women.

Serbia leads the men’s competition with six gold medals, followed by the United States with one gold and two silvers. Other countries that have claimed gold in the men’s category include Latvia, Qatar, and Oman. In the women’s competition, the United States stands out with four titles and one third-place finish, while various nations like France, Russia, China, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and Italy have also secured victories in the competition’s 10 editions.
