The iconic filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao, aged 94, is set to direct ‘Sing Geetham’, a musical fantasy film, marking his comeback. Known for classics like ‘Pushpak’, Rao’s career spans decades with nearly 60 films in various languages. ‘Sing Geetham’, produced by Nag Ashwin under Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema, is slated for a global release on June 11.
Rao’s latest project revolves around a young man named Prathap, navigating a mysterious village where appearances deceive. The narrative delves into a clash between progress and preservation, challenging Prathap’s beliefs and choices. The film promises a unique blend of fantasy and humor, as showcased in the teaser by lead actors Ayaan, Ahilya Bamroo, and Shalini Kondepudi.
In addition to the main cast, ‘Sing Geetham’ features pivotal roles played by Thulasi PA, Benarjee, Sivanarayana, and Agu Stanley. The technical crew includes Ankur C for visuals, Devi Sri Prasad for music, and Aravind Mule as the production designer, all contributing to creating an imaginative cinematic world.
