Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, honored Marshal of the Air Force Arjan Singh at the Marshal of the Air Force Memorial Lecture. The event, hosted by the Air Force Association, was attended by top Air Force officials, former chiefs, veterans, and current officers of the Indian Air Force. Recalling Arjan Singh’s remarkable journey intertwined with India’s history, Sandhu praised his leadership during the 1965 Indo-Pak conflict. Arjan Singh was awarded the Padma Vibhushan for his exceptional leadership and later became the sole officer in Indian military history to hold the rank of Marshal of the Air Force. Sandhu commended Arjan Singh’s transition from military to public service, emphasizing his significant tenure as Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.
Sandhu urged public servants to emulate Arjan Singh’s dedication and sense of duty towards the people. He lauded Arjan Singh’s integrity, humility, and professionalism, stating that his commitment to service remains a guiding principle. The Lieutenant Governor emphasized the importance of upholding Arjan Singh’s ideals in daily conduct and public service as the nation’s tribute to this exceptional leader.
