During the 2025-26 season, Munoz scored seven goals and provided five assists for Osasuna, prompting Liverpool to secure his services. The club sent its medical team to the FIFA World Cup in the US to assess Munoz, who missed Spain’s recent match due to a calf issue.
This transfer marks Liverpool’s first major signing under new head coach Andoni Iraola, succeeding Arne Slot. Munoz, who began his career at Barcelona before moving to Real Madrid’s academy, has become a key player for Osasuna with his speed and versatility on the field.
Real Madrid will benefit financially from Munoz’s transfer, thanks to a 50 percent sell-on clause, expecting to receive 20 million euros. An official announcement is anticipated upon the completion of the necessary formalities.
