Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla highlighted the significance of Ram Katha in conveying India’s cultural heritage, spiritual values, and moral principles to the public during a visit to Jodhpur. He participated in a Shri Ram Katha event held at the Shri Ardhanarishwar Shiva Temple in Kelava Khurd. Birla commended the role of spiritual teachings and practices in promoting healthy living and ethical conduct globally.
Birla praised Yoga Rishi Baba Ramdev for promoting a lifestyle centered on health, discipline, and cultural ethos. He acknowledged Murlidhar Maharaj for propagating Indian culture and principles of righteous living through Ram Katha within India and internationally. The Lok Sabha Speaker emphasized that the teachings of Lord Shri Ram inspire individuals to uphold duty, truth, devotion, and morality.
Additionally, Birla underscored the societal importance of temples, stating that they serve as not only places of worship but also as hubs for instilling values, compassion, social cohesion, and cultural consciousness. He expressed optimism that the Ardhanarishwar Mahadev Temple would become a hub of spiritual vitality and communal unity. Birla explained that the Ardhanarishwar form symbolizes balance, equality, and harmony, with Lord Shiva epitomizing sacrifice and societal welfare, and Goddess Parvati embodying compassion and affection.
During the event, Birla visited the Keshav Priya Gaushala at Raghuvanshpuram Ashram, lauding the initiatives for cow welfare. He extended well wishes for the joy and prosperity of the attendees, hoping that the blessings of Lord Shri Ram and Lord Shiva-Parvati would be with everyone. The gathering included numerous saints, seers, and devotees, along with dignitaries like Yoga Rishi Baba Ramdev, Rajasthan Energy Minister Hiralal Nagar, former Union Minister and MP P.P. Chaudhary, and MLA Bhera Ram Chaudhary.
