Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari recently visited the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Bundi district. They reviewed the construction progress at the Labana Interchange and various locations along the route. The leaders were warmly welcomed upon arrival, with Chief Minister Sharma also attending an exhibition at the venue.
During the inspection, Union Minister Gadkari emphasized the importance of safety measures along the expressway. He chaired a meeting at the Pinan rest area in Alwar district with officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Gadkari instructed to enhance patrolling, improve traffic management, and prevent indiscriminate parking of trucks to ensure road safety.
Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari highlighted the positive impact of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway on travel time between Delhi and Mumbai. She mentioned that the Union government had implemented various safety measures, including emergency response systems, CCTV surveillance, and speed monitoring devices. The inspection aimed to ensure adherence to construction quality and road safety standards.
Accompanied by officials from NHAI and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Gadkari proceeded with the inspection after reviewing arrangements at the Pinan rest area. The delegation provided a detailed presentation on the expressway’s progress, maintenance, and safety measures.
