Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) set a target of 196/6 against Punjab Kings in their final league match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. Josh Inglis played a crucial innings of 72 runs off 44 balls, supported by Abdul Samad’s unbeaten 37 off 20 deliveries.

Inglis initially faced a slow start due to losing partners early on but later accelerated, forming partnerships with teammates to propel LSG’s score. Despite Inglis’s impressive performance, LSG fell short of their desired total, with Samad’s late contribution helping them reach a competitive score.

Punjab Kings’ bowlers Yuzvendra Chahal and Marco Jansen stood out, each taking two wickets, as they aim to win the game to secure a spot in the playoffs. LSG, already out of playoff contention, will rely on their bowlers to defend the target against PBKS.
