The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has introduced various initiatives focusing on rural empowerment, education, healthcare, and agriculture. One key decision involves providing registered title deeds through the SVAMITVA scheme, benefiting millions of villagers by facilitating access to bank loans and reducing property disputes.
In education, the School Education Department has transitioned from Direct Benefit Transfer to directly supplying stitched uniforms to students in grades one through eight. This change aims to ensure uniform availability in remote areas, enhancing the state’s commitment to equitable education.
Furthermore, the Cabinet has approved the continuation of three schemes for medical colleges with a budget allocation of Rs 17,000 crore. This includes constructing new colleges, increasing postgraduate seats, and progressing the construction of the District Court building in Indore, reflecting significant investments in healthcare and infrastructure.
Agriculture also remains a priority, with Madhya Pradesh achieving a national record in wheat procurement this year. The state procured 10.4 million tonnes of wheat, involving over 1.3 million farmers and disbursing payments worth approximately Rs 25,000 crore. This success is crucial for small farmers and marks a significant milestone in the state’s agricultural development.
