Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav unveiled a pioneering initiative, making farmers direct stakeholders in the Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor. This innovative approach involves farmers as partners rather than mere beneficiaries. The corridor, spanning several districts, aims to enhance connectivity and features an eight-lane super expressway connecting key industrial zones.
Chief Minister Yadav highlighted the significant role of farmers in the project, ensuring they receive developed premium plots as part of their stake. This unique model emphasizes voluntary collaboration with landowners, promoting a farmer-industry partnership. The initiative, involving farmers from 17 villages, offers opportunities for residential and commercial development near the corridor.
Yadav emphasized the emergence of diverse employment prospects in sectors like agro-processing, automobiles, textiles, and warehousing. The project symbolizes a blend of modern infrastructure, connectivity enhancement, and industrial progress, with a core focus on farmers’ welfare. The Chief Minister praised Prime Minister Modi’s vision for prioritizing farmers in development projects, citing a similar successful model in Gujarat.
