Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav declared that farmers in the state will no longer need separate loans for Kharif and Rabi crops. Instead, a single crop loan for the entire year will be introduced to enhance credit accessibility. Speaking at the ‘Kisan Samriddhi Sankalp Sammelan’ in Shajapur district, Yadav emphasized the government’s efforts to ease the financial burden on farmers and boost their income.
Yadav reiterated the government’s commitment to agriculture and farmers, highlighting the expansion of the irrigated area in Madhya Pradesh to over 55 lakh hectares, leading to increased agricultural output. Additionally, he announced plans to offer incentives for natural farming and provide special support to cattle rearers to boost milk production.
The Chief Minister also discussed irrigation projects, mentioning the ongoing work on major river-linking initiatives like the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) project, aimed at enhancing irrigation facilities for farmers. He further assured that the government is dedicated to ensuring Narmada water reaches every village in Shajapur district.
During the event, Yadav inaugurated 12 development projects valued at Rs 30.86 crore, encompassing various infrastructure works such as school buildings, bridges, panchayat buildings, healthcare centers, and anganwadi facilities.
