Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav praised the recent ruling by the Indore Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court regarding the Bhojshala complex in Dhar. The court declared the site as a temple, affirming the Hindu community’s right to worship there. This decision overturned years of administrative disputes over the area.
In a statement shared on social media, the Chief Minister hailed the court’s recognition of Bhojshala as a protected monument and a place of worship for Maa Vagdevi. He emphasized the judgment’s significance for the nation’s cultural heritage and history.
The ruling, according to Yadav, respects the sentiments of devotees and clarifies the historical significance of the structure. He highlighted the importance of the Archaeological Survey of India’s role in preserving Bhojshala’s dignity and heritage value.
The Chief Minister lauded the court’s move to ensure devotees’ rights to worship regularly, emphasizing the importance of religious freedom and historical accuracy. He expressed support for the directive to repatriate the idol of Goddess Vagdevi from the UK, pledging full cooperation from the state government for its return to Dhar.
