Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav made a surprise visit to a wheat procurement center in Ujjain, emphasizing zero tolerance for any negligence in the process. He checked various aspects like weighing systems, storage facilities, and payment procedures at the Agro Steel Silo center in Manpura village. Yadav interacted with farmers to address their concerns regarding weighing accuracy, bag availability, transportation, and prompt payments.

Yadav stressed the importance of transparency in weighing and timely payments for farmers, stating that extending the procurement deadline is possible to accommodate all farmers. He highlighted the government’s continuous procurement of wheat, gram, and masoor in the state. The Chief Minister also inspected the facilities provided to farmers, ensuring basic amenities like drinking water and shaded seating areas, with district control rooms monitoring the procurement process.

During his visit, Yadav personally examined the quality of wheat on a tractor-trolley and assured farmers of government support, promising timely payments directly to their bank accounts. A farmer named Altaf Patel praised the government for prompt payments and favorable prices, crediting government initiatives for enhancing farmers’ income.
