Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, alongside state BJP president Hemant Khandelwal, lauded the Union Budget 2026-27 for its focus on digital investment, technology upgrades, and job opportunities, especially for women. They commended Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s budget as welfare-centric, inclusive, and empowering for the underprivileged, youth, and women, emphasizing sectors like startups and artificial intelligence. CM Yadav highlighted the budget’s role in enhancing India’s global position and economic growth, aligning with the vision of a developed nation through the Amrit Kaal framework.
The Chief Minister praised the budget for offering avenues for all sections of society in Madhya Pradesh, aiming to harness resources for sustained development and meeting public expectations. He acknowledged the budget as the twelfth under PM Modi’s leadership, focusing on structural reforms to boost business ease. Yadav noted the budget’s encouragement for youth development, support to business-friendly industries, and the acceleration of industrial growth, exports, and job opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.
Yadav expressed optimism about the budget’s provisions for biopharma, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and health startups, foreseeing a boost in the knowledge economy and high-value job creation. He highlighted discussions with the Prime Minister on semiconductor initiatives, anticipating advancements in high-tech industries, increased digital investments in Madhya Pradesh, and opportunities for innovation and technology entrepreneurship, benefiting traditional sectors through modernization.
The budget was noted for revitalizing employment prospects by enhancing industrial land availability, logistics, and supply chains. For the MSME sector, it outlined strategies to bolster competitiveness, self-reliance, and growth, fostering self-employment and industrial expansion. In service sectors like IT, tourism, agriculture, health, and education, the budget aimed to propel Madhya Pradesh towards global leadership by 2047, nurturing these domains as pivotal hubs.
