The Madhya Pradesh government announced its integration of over 1,700 services from 56 departments onto a single platform, aiming for complete digital service delivery by 2026. This initiative, facilitated by the ‘MP e-Seva Portal and Mobile App’, streamlines citizen services, eliminating the need for multiple office visits. Emphasizing the role of digital technology in governance, the state is enhancing transparency and efficiency through this unified platform.
With the new system, citizens can access services conveniently through a single digital window, reducing bureaucratic hurdles. The government highlighted the platform’s role in simplifying service delivery processes, making them faster and more transparent for residents. Developed by the Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation, the platform enables online eligibility checks, application submissions, and status tracking, leveraging Aadhaar-based authentication and digital certificates.
The integration of the portal with the Samagra Social Security Mission database enhances verification processes, minimizing delays and redundancies in service provision. By utilizing Family ID and Member ID for automatic verification, the system ensures smoother service delivery. Additionally, the ‘auto-fetch’ feature allows documents to be reused across services, reducing the need for repetitive submissions and paperwork.
In a move towards greater accessibility, the state government has adopted a mobile-first strategy, incorporating multilingual support and features for persons with disabilities. This approach aims to make government services more user-friendly for citizens across urban and rural areas. The platform has witnessed significant traction, with over 2.14 lakh transactions recorded to date, indicating a growing preference among citizens for digital service channels.
