Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel commended the Indian Blind Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 champions as a symbol of women’s empowerment. He praised the courage and inner strength displayed by the visually impaired players, emphasizing their victory as an inspiration for all citizens. Governor Patel honored three players from Madhya Pradesh—Sushma Patel, Sunita Sarathe, and Durga Yewale—for bringing glory to the state and the nation on a global platform.

The Indian women’s blind cricket team, including players from Madhya Pradesh, made history by winning the T20 World Cup title in Colombo by defeating Nepal in the final. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav had previously welcomed the players and announced a cash reward of Rs 25 lakh for each player, along with additional incentives for the coaches. The team’s victory in the inaugural Blind Women’s T20 World Cup was a significant achievement, with India triumphing over Nepal in the final match.
