Buchi Babu Sana, the director of the much-anticipated movie ‘Peddi’ starring Telugu actor Ram Charan, revealed that Charan underwent three to four months of wrestling training for his role. The film, set to release globally on June 4, showcases Charan’s character excelling in sports like cricket and wrestling. The shooting for ‘Peddi’ concluded on May 1 this year, with renowned cinematographer Rathnavelu praising Charan’s performance and the memorable journey they shared on set.
For this sports-centric film, special attention was given to the wrestling sequences, with Charan receiving specialized training under the guidance of a trainer who previously worked with Aamir Khan for ‘Dangal.’ The movie also incorporated local wrestlers from Telangana to enhance the authenticity of the sports scenes. Alongside Charan, the film boasts a stellar cast including Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani in pivotal roles.
The technical aspects of ‘Peddi’ are handled by industry experts, with R Rathnavelu behind the camera, Navin Nooli editing the film, and Avinash Kolla overseeing the intricate set designs.
