Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel highlighted the aim of the Prime Minister’s Janman Abhiyan and Dharti Aaba Tribal Village Development Campaign to enhance basic amenities and uplift living standards in tribal regions. Speaking at an event in Chhindwara district, Governor Patel urged officials to ensure prompt and quality delivery of government scheme benefits to eligible families. He praised the district administration for its exemplary performance in constructing houses under the PM Awas Yojana.
Governor Patel underscored the significance of timely screening, treatment, and awareness concerning sickle cell anemia and tuberculosis. He informed the tribal community about the state government’s provision of free medicines to patients, encouraging them to adhere to their treatment regimens. Additionally, he engaged with students at a newly established tribal girls’ hostel, motivating them to pursue education diligently for a prosperous future.
During the event, Governor Patel inaugurated the ‘Swachhta Saathi Wash on Wheels Plus’ service, an initiative aimed at implementing the Swachh Bharat and Jal Jeevan Mission at the grassroots level. Launched on September 26, 2024, the service involves regular cleaning and maintenance of individual and institutional toilets, benefiting 55,000 facilities and generating over Rs 55 lakh in income through the efforts of 50 workers. The Governor also visited a health check-up camp in Bhodiyapani gram panchayat, interacting with patients as part of the National Program for the Prevention and Control of Sickle Cell and Non-Communicable Diseases.
