Madhya Pradesh initiated the Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural) (VB-G RAM-G) in Jabalpur, with similar events occurring statewide. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Singh Patel, along with Rajya Sabha MP Sumitra Valmiki and other officials, participated in the launch.
Patel emphasized that the mission aims to enhance job opportunities and livelihoods in rural areas while ensuring transparent execution. He highlighted the integration of technology and transparency to promote good governance and public involvement in national development efforts.
The mission, a joint effort of the Central and Madhya Pradesh governments, focuses on creating employment, improving livelihoods, and establishing sustainable community assets in rural regions. District administrations conducted various programs, including public meetings and awareness campaigns, to introduce the mission’s objectives and benefits.
Ministers, MPs, MLAs, and local representatives engaged in these events to explain the scheme’s features, such as a 125-day employment guarantee, digital implementation, transparent payment systems, and technology-driven monitoring. The state government’s goal is to boost job opportunities, enhance livelihoods, and build lasting community assets through the mission’s effective execution.
