Madhya Pradesh Police conducted a raid at a defunct clubhouse in Khandwa district, seizing string bombs, gunpowder, and other explosive materials valued at more than 20 lakhs. The raid led to the discovery of around 20 quintals of such materials used for making firecrackers in an illegal factory within a deserted building near Sinhada village.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Khandwa, Manoj Kumar Roy, mentioned that the police team observed a pickup vehicle entering the colony, prompting a search. Upon investigation, a significant number of sacks containing crude bombs were found, leading to the revelation of a dilapidated clubhouse being used as a manufacturing site for explosive materials.

Further investigation revealed that the clubhouse was previously owned by Yashvant Silawat, who had sold it to Imran. Imran, a resident operating a firecracker shop, had acquired the building. An FIR has been filed in the case, with unidentified individuals facing charges related to the illegal trade of explosive materials as part of a special campaign against such activities.
