Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced a 32.4% rise in enrollment in government schools, indicating increased public confidence in the state’s education system. The simplification of admission procedures for Classes 1, 6, and 9 led to a notable 19.6% overall enrollment boost for the academic year 2025–26. The state aims for 1.45 crore student enrollments in schools for the academic year 2026-27.
Chief Minister Yadav inaugurated a four-day ‘School Chale Hum’ campaign at a government higher secondary school in Bhopal. He highlighted the establishment of 369 Sandipani Schools, previously known as CM Rise schools, which are recognized as top schools in the country. These schools offer comprehensive facilities for student development.
Under the National Education Policy-2020, 49 books in Hindi and local languages have been developed and are being distributed to students in tribal regions. The state operates 1,913 hostels accommodating 95,000 Scheduled Caste students and over 20 lakh students in 25,439 schools under the Tribal Affairs Department. The government is dedicated to the welfare of all societal segments.
Chief Minister Yadav emphasized the state government’s schemes that provide financial aid to students. Notably, 94,306 meritorious students who scored 75% or higher in the 2025–26 board exams received free laptops. The state budget for 2026–27 includes allocations of Rs 250 crore for laptops, Rs 100 crore for scooters, and Rs 210 crore for distributing bicycles. Additionally, school toppers in board exams are being recognized.
During the event, the Chief Minister distributed free bicycles and textbooks to students, extending his best wishes for their future.
