Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister Mohan Yadav revealed plans to expedite police recruitment and introduce new welfare initiatives for personnel during the K.F. Rustamji Awards Distribution Ceremony in Bhopal. The state aims to enhance public safety by increasing youth participation in the police force through ongoing and upcoming recruitment drives. With a target to fill 22,500 vacancies from constables to Sub-Inspectors, the government is committed to strengthening law enforcement.
Yadav emphasized the importance of supporting police officers’ well-being and safety, highlighting the evolving nature of crime, particularly in the realm of cyber and digital offenses. Praising the Madhya Pradesh Police for its efficiency and professionalism in tackling these challenges, he credited the eradication of Naxalism to the concerted efforts led by Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. The state, under their guidance, has successfully overcome the longstanding menace of Naxalism, marking a significant milestone in its security landscape.
Director General of Police Kailash Makwana announced Madhya Pradesh’s official declaration as Naxalism-free, achieved on December 11, 2025. With constable recruitment completed and new recruits receiving their orders, the focus now shifts to preparations for Simhastha 2028, emphasizing training and reinforcing grassroots policing. The ceremony also saw the distribution of K.F. Rustamji Awards, honoring 101 police personnel for their exceptional service and dedication.
