A young woman from Madhya Pradesh’s Chhindwara, Priya Malviya, has made her family and district proud by becoming the first woman from Chhindwara to be selected as a Flying Officer in the Indian Air Force. Priya, daughter of Assistant Sub-Inspector Ravi Malviya, was driven by her father’s police service and her own desire to serve the nation.
Growing up watching her father in uniform, Priya aspired to contribute in a similar capacity. She pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication from Gujarat Technological University after completing her education in Gujarat. Priya’s dream turned into reality when she cleared the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) and secured an impressive national rank of 113.
Expressing her joy, Priya hopes her achievement will inspire other young women to pursue their dreams confidently. Her father, Ravi Malviya, expressed immense pride in her accomplishment, highlighting her dedication, hard work, and discipline that led to this success.
Priya’s family, especially her father, is overjoyed by her selection as a Flying Officer in the Indian Air Force. Priya is now gearing up for formal training in Hyderabad before commencing her duties in the Air Force, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her journey.
