Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis criticized the Congress and other opposition parties, calling them “serial liars” for rejecting the Women’s Reservation Bill. At the Yuva Shakti Jagar Yatra launch, he accused the opposition of betraying the nation’s women community by obstructing the bill in Parliament.
Fadnavis highlighted the opposition’s change in stance on the bill, alleging that they initially supported it in 2023 when the BJP had a majority but opposed it now. He emphasized the importance of women’s representation in the legislature and criticized the opposition for obstructing the process.
The Chief Minister also emphasized the need to protect youth from radical ideologies and urged party workers to prioritize national interests. He called for countering false narratives and divisive politics with a focus on building a better future for the nation.
Fadnavis expressed confidence that the Yuva Shakti Jagar Yatra would inspire the youth with nationalistic values and address social and economic challenges in Maharashtra. He warned against the influence of what he termed as “urban Naxalism” and stressed the importance of nurturing a positive force for the state’s future.
