Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has instructed the state Industry Department to develop comprehensive and investment-friendly policies, particularly targeting high-employment sectors to boost industrial growth in Maharashtra. The directive aims to attract and effectively utilize both foreign and domestic investments in the state. Fadnavis emphasized the need for collaborative planning during a review meeting with Industry Minister Uday Samant in attendance.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of consulting industry experts and entrepreneurs while formulating growth strategies for the industrial sector. He highlighted the significance of eliminating operational hurdles to ensure efficient execution of existing industrial policies. Fadnavis also urged the Industry Department to identify high-potential sectors, enhance production capacities, introduce modern technologies, and conduct a detailed survey of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to align with investor needs.

Fadnavis outlined key areas for policy focus, including simplifying business norms for constructing convention centers and integrating advanced facilities in Chemical Parks. He also called for the promotion of sustainable development models and circular economies. The Chief Minister mandated the use of the MAITRI Portal for industrial clearances to streamline processes and enhance investor experience. Additionally, he proposed setting up a call center for investors to address grievances promptly.

The meeting reviewed various finalized and proposed policies such as the Industrial Investment and Services Policy 2025, Global Capability Centre Policy 2025, and several sector-specific policies. Fadnavis emphasized the need for logical land allocation by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation to prevent underutilization. The focus remains on fostering a conducive environment for businesses and ensuring collaborative execution of policies to drive industrial growth in the state.
