Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis debunked rumors of opposition parties merging with the Congress, stating it would favor the BJP. Fadnavis criticized the opposition’s leadership during a press conference marking 12 years of the PM Modi government.

Fadnavis quipped, “Begani shaadi mein Abdullah diwana,” dismissing talks of mergers. He questioned the wisdom of regional leaders aligning with a declining Congress, suggesting they wouldn’t board a sinking ship.

Even if mergers materialize, Fadnavis sees it as a win for the ruling alliance, creating political opportunities. Amid speculation of regional parties merging with Congress, MP Sanjay Raut’s call for unity stirred political circles in Maharashtra.
