Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed agencies to address delays in project completion and ensure contractors meet deadlines. He emphasized the importance of accelerating infrastructure development for Maharashtra’s progress. Fadnavis stressed the need for projects to be finished within three to three-and-a-half years, warning that delays lead to financial losses at national and state levels.
During a review meeting, the Chief Minister instructed officials to expedite the Dharavi Slum Redevelopment Project and provide State GST exemptions to local entrepreneurs. He also mandated swift actions for the redevelopment of BDD Chawls and the completion of the Thane-Borivali Twin Tunnel Project within specified timelines. Fadnavis highlighted the significance of the Goregaon-Mulund Link Road and the Bandra-Versova Sea Link projects for improving suburban connectivity.
Additionally, Fadnavis ordered the fast-tracking of the Virar-Alibaug Multi-Modal Corridor’s land acquisition process. He proposed strategic planning to capitalize on post-construction land value appreciation. The Chief Minister also emphasized the importance of completing the Pune Ring Road, expediting the Mula-Mutha River Rejuvenation Project, and ensuring seamless water supply for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar residents.
