Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde praised the Mahayuti alliance for securing a “hat-trick” of wins in the zilla parishad and panchayat samiti elections. He highlighted the alliance’s success across various levels of local self-government, including municipal councils, nagar panchayats, municipal corporations, and now zilla parishads and panchayat samitis.
Shinde expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received by the Shiv Sena in the zilla parishad elections, emphasizing the growing trust of the public in the party. He noted that the victories in Raigad and Ratnagiri regions underscore the strengthening organizational base of the Shiv Sena in rural Maharashtra.
The Deputy Chief Minister attributed the alliance’s success to the strategic decisions made by the government over the past three years, focusing on infrastructure development in areas such as roads, water supply, irrigation, and education. He acknowledged the contributions of party workers and their dedication to addressing public concerns.
Shinde assured that zilla parishads would be utilized as tools for the progress of farmers, women, youth, and the general populace, promising not to betray the trust placed in them by the public.
