Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar exercised her voting right at the Zilla Parishad school in Katewadi, Baramati. Joining her, Member of Parliament Parth Ajit Pawar also cast his vote at the same location. The by-election, with 23 candidates including Sunetra Pawar, was triggered by the unfortunate passing of former Deputy CM Ajit Pawar in a plane crash on January 28 in Baramati.

Sunetra Ajit Pawar urged citizens to fulfill their duty and actively engage in the voting process. NCP anticipates a significant voter turnout in Baramati to honor Ajit Pawar, projecting Sunetra Pawar’s victory with a substantial margin. Both the Mahayuti and the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi have extended their support to Sunetra Pawar’s candidacy.

In an emotional appeal during the Baramati Assembly by-election campaign, Sunetra Pawar reminisced about her late husband, Ajit Pawar, and pledged to carry forward his vision for Baramati. Describing the overwhelming support as a commitment to Baramati’s progress, she emphasized her dedication to serving the people beyond mere politics. Sunetra Pawar acknowledged the legacy established by Sharad Pawar and the advancements made by Ajit Pawar in Baramati.

Expressing gratitude for the widespread support, Sunetra Pawar highlighted the unity and struggle ingrained in Baramati’s history. She emphasized her deep connection with the constituency, portraying it as her source of strength and the voters as revered figures to her late husband. Sunetra Pawar positioned herself not just as a candidate but as a guardian of the enduring bond shared with Baramati, emphasizing the profound significance of the election for her.
