Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar exercised her voting right at the Zilla Parishad school in Katewadi, Baramati. Joining her, Member of Parliament Parth Ajit Pawar also cast his vote at the same location. The by-election, with 23 candidates including Sunetra Pawar, was triggered by the unfortunate passing of former Deputy CM Ajit Pawar in a plane crash on January 28 in Baramati.
Sunetra Ajit Pawar urged citizens to fulfill their duty and actively engage in the voting process. NCP anticipates a significant voter turnout in Baramati to honor Ajit Pawar, projecting Sunetra Pawar’s victory with a substantial margin. Both the Mahayuti and the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi have extended their support to Sunetra Pawar’s candidacy.
In an emotional appeal during the Baramati Assembly by-election campaign, Sunetra Pawar reminisced about her late husband, Ajit Pawar, and pledged to carry forward his vision for Baramati. Describing the overwhelming support as a commitment to Baramati’s progress, she emphasized her dedication to serving the people beyond mere politics. Sunetra Pawar acknowledged the legacy established by Sharad Pawar and the advancements made by Ajit Pawar in Baramati.
