Following Ravindra Phatak’s uncontested win in the Thane-Palghar Legislative Council polls, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde praised the victory as a positive start for the Mahayuti alliance. Shinde emphasized the unity within the alliance and its focus on development-oriented politics.
Shinde highlighted the widespread support received by Mahayuti candidates in various Legislative Council constituencies, indicating a growing trust among the public towards the state government. He expressed confidence in the victory of all 17 Mahayuti candidates in the upcoming polls, with six already elected unopposed.
Pointing out the historical trend of uncontested elections in Thane-Palghar, Shinde mentioned the tradition and unity maintained by the Mahayuti alliance. He criticized the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) opposition, citing internal divisions and lack of coordination in recent elections as signs of weakness.
Demonstrating the cooperation within the ruling alliance, Shinde cited instances of strategic withdrawals and support for Mahayuti candidates in different regions. He highlighted the government’s focus on accelerating the state’s development, with ongoing projects and initiatives aimed at driving progress and welfare schemes forward.
Referring to the Cluster Redevelopment Scheme in Thane, Shinde lauded it as a transformative urban renewal project that would enhance citizens’ quality of life. He also assured preparedness for the upcoming monsoon season and emphasized the government’s commitment to effective governance and public welfare.
