Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Nirupam stated that the Maharashtra government is dedicated to sustaining the ‘Ladli Bahen’ scheme, dismissing Opposition claims of misinformation. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde assured that farmers and women beneficiaries of welfare schemes will receive unwavering support. The government remains resolute in providing financial aid to women through the scheme, amidst attempts to sow confusion.

False narratives about Maharashtra’s financial state are being circulated to instill fear among scheme beneficiaries, alleged Nirupam. He emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting women and thwarting any conspiracies against the welfare initiative. Nirupam also addressed the issue of illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators, supporting Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s call for their voluntary return.

Nirupam commented on the ongoing political turmoil in Karnataka post Siddaramaiah’s resignation, suggesting that the situation is far from settled. Expressing condolences for the victims of spurious liquor in Pimpri-Chinchwad, he demanded stringent action against those involved in illicit liquor production. Nirupam urged for measures to prevent further tragedies caused by toxic alcohol and called for a crackdown on liquor mafias in Maharashtra.
