Maharashtra NCP Chief Sunil Tatkare affirmed that Sunetra Pawar’s election as the party’s National President is lawful and in line with regulations. Tatkare dismissed claims of internal discord within the party, emphasizing that the leadership election was transparent and compliant with organizational rules.
He reassured that the party will address the legal notice challenging Pawar’s election through appropriate legal channels. Tatkare refuted the allegations, stating they are unfounded and intended to fabricate division within the party. The NCP leadership perceives the notice as an isolated issue rather than a systemic challenge.
Party leader Praful Patel denied any rift within the party and expressed unity with Pawar on political matters. Patel distanced himself from the legal challenge, emphasizing that Pawar’s election adhered to the party’s constitution. He acknowledged the need for internal structural changes following the passing of the former party chief.
Former NCP General Secretary Brijmohan Shrivastav highlighted a communication void within the party post-Ajit Pawar’s demise. Shrivastav supported the demand for Pawar’s election to strictly follow the party’s constitution. He emphasized the necessity for improved dialogue within the party to address emerging challenges and maintain unity.
