Leading automaker Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. announced that its overall auto sales for June 2026 reached 106,207 vehicles, marking a 37% year-on-year growth, including exports.
The company’s utility vehicle domestic sales stood at 60,393 units, showing a 28% increase year-on-year. Total UV sales, including exports, amounted to 61,504 units, as per a release from Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of the Automotive Division at M&M Ltd., highlighted the company’s achievement of 60,393 SUV sales and 26,076 sales in the LCV <3.5T segment, with robust growth rates of 28% and 35%, respectively, in June.
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. reported a significant year-on-year growth of 125% in total exports for the month, reaching 5,918 vehicles. The company also noted light commercial vehicle (LCV) sales of 39,896 units.
The company witnessed strong performance in various light commercial vehicle subsegments, with LCVs under 2 tonnes at 3,508 units, showing a 36% surge, and LCVs of 2 tonnes–3.5 tonnes at 22,568 units, rising by 35%.
Moreover, three-wheelers experienced a sharp 63% surge, with sales of 13,820 units compared to 8,454 in the previous year.
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Business (FEB) revealed that domestic tractor sales in June 2026 reached 58,177 units, reflecting a 12% year-on-year growth.
Total tractor sales for June 2026 were 59,935 units, compared to 53,392 units in the same period last year, with exports amounting to 1,758 units.
Veejay Nakra, President of the Farm Equipment Business at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., mentioned that while it is early to assess the full impact of emerging El Niño conditions, strong government interventions such as sustained fertilizer subsidies and targeted local support measures are expected to mitigate risks to farmers and cushion the impact on the Kharif season.
