A significant operation by the Central District Police led to the dismantling of an alleged sex racket operating from a building on Qutub Road in Delhi’s Paharganj area. Four women were rescued, and an individual was arrested for purportedly managing the illicit activity, as per the police statement on Friday. The raid, carried out at Saran Building on Qutub Road, followed specific information received by officials about the alleged racket.
Police reported that a secret informer approached the Station House Officer (SHO) of Nabi Karim Police Station on June 11 around 7:30 p.m., providing details about the sex racket in the Qutub Road area of Paharganj. In response, a specialized police team, including SI Harsh, W/SI Shruti, and other officers, was swiftly formed to verify the information and take necessary legal action.
As part of the operation, a decoy customer was deployed to confirm the allegations. Subsequently, a raid was conducted at the identified premises, resulting in the successful bust of the alleged racket. The arrested individual, identified as Shahrukh, a 29-year-old resident of Laxmi Nagar, faces legal proceedings.
During the operation, four women aged 31, 25, 20, and 34 were rescued from the premises. Their identities have been kept confidential for privacy reasons. Investigators have seized relevant evidence and are interrogating the arrested individual to determine the extent of the operation and identify potential accomplices. Further investigation is ongoing to uncover the complete network and establish all relevant facts in the case.
