A significant fire engulfed a flat in a private residential society in Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram area, resulting in the destruction of at least eight flats and causing alarm among residents. The blaze, which originated in a flat within the Gaur Green Avenue society, quickly spread to neighboring units, causing substantial damage. Authorities are currently assessing the full extent of the damage caused by the fire.
Upon receiving information about the fire incident, multiple fire tenders rushed to the scene, initiating firefighting operations promptly. Fire department personnel are actively present at the site, working diligently to extinguish the flames and conducting relief and rescue operations. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined by the authorities.
While there have been no reports of any fatalities, residents had to hastily evacuate their homes as the fire rapidly spread through parts of the residential complex. Ghaziabad District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mandar confirmed that around eight flats were gutted in the fire, with no casualties reported. Immediate action was taken, with 17 fire tenders dispatched to the location upon receiving the information.
District Magistrate Mandar also mentioned that a team will be formed to investigate the fire’s cause, with initial suspicions pointing towards wood-related work in one of the flats.
