A significant scam has been uncovered in the Staff Selection Commission’s General Duty online exam in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Six individuals have been arrested by Ranchi police after a raid at an online exam center in the Pandara police outpost area. The raid was prompted by suspicions of irregularities during the exam held on Saturday.
Following specific inputs received by Senior Superintendent of Police Rakesh Ranjan, a raid was conducted at the Futuristic Online Examination Centre near Piska More. During the examination, invigilators noticed candidates exhibiting suspicious behavior. It was observed that answers to questions were being automatically filled in while candidates stared at their screens, raising concerns of technical manipulation.
A special team led by City SP Paras Rana was formed based on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Rakesh Ranjan. The police were alerted immediately after invigilators reported the suspicious behavior of candidates during the exam. Examination officials also filed a complaint regarding the irregularities, leading to a thorough investigation by the police.
Six individuals, including those associated with the operation and technical management of the exam center, were detained for their alleged involvement in the malpractice. The police seized several computers and electronic devices from the site for forensic examination to determine the exact method used to manipulate the exam. A detailed investigation is ongoing to ascertain if the scam has connections to other states or exam centers.
Authorities mentioned that the entire network involved in the alleged scam will be exposed as the investigation progresses. A press conference is scheduled for 4 p.m. to disclose further details about the scam.
