The creators of the film ‘Satluj,’ starring Diljit Dosanjh, have earnestly requested viewers to refrain from supporting piracy. They have committed to all efforts to re-release the movie on the OTT platform. ZEE5, through their official handle, shared a poster urging everyone to combat piracy and help in bringing ‘Satluj’ back for lawful viewing.
The movie, which narrates the story of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, premiered on ZEE5 in India on Friday after overcoming censorship challenges. However, it was removed from the OTT platform in India on Sunday. Diljit, in an Instagram live session on Monday, expressed his appreciation for the audience’s support and emphasized the permanence of online content sharing.
Diljit acknowledged the film’s removal and encouraged those who have watched and saved the movie to share it with others. He reflected on the film’s release strategy without prior promotion and expressed satisfaction that the youth is engaging with the story of Jaswant Singh Khalra. Diljit praised the team for successfully reaching audiences and expressed relief that the film had already been downloaded, ensuring its continued availability.
