The shooting for the much-anticipated Malayalam film ‘Athiradi’, directed by Arun Anirudhan and starring Basil Joseph, Tovino Thomas, and Vineeth Sreenivasan, has been completed. The film is scheduled to hit screens on May 14 this year. Actor Tovino Thomas shared a video clip from the makers showing the wrap-up moment, expressing excitement for the theatrical release.
‘Athiradi’ has generated significant buzz among fans and movie enthusiasts, as it brings together Basil Joseph, Tovino Thomas, and Vineeth Sreenivasan for the first time on screen. The teaser released earlier introduces the characters played by the three actors, hinting at the film being a mass action entertainer with a promise of a power-packed theatrical experience. Produced by Basil Joseph Entertainments and Doctor Ananthu Entertainments, ‘Athiradi’ is directed by debutant filmmaker Arun Anirudhan, known for his work on the script of ‘Minnal Murali’. The film’s script is co-written by Paulson Skaria and Arun Anirudhan, with co-producers including Sameer Thahir and Tovino Thomas. The movie also marks the reunion of Tovino Thomas, Basil Joseph, Sameer Thahir, and Arun Anirudhan.
On the technical side, ‘Athiradi’ features cinematography by Samuel Henry, music by Vishnu Vijay, editing by Chaman Chacko, and costume design by Mashar Hamsa.
