West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Trinamool Congress General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee are set to speak at a virtual meeting with party counting agents before the crucial vote counting on Monday. The meeting aims to provide last-minute instructions to agents on the counting process starting at 8 A.M. on May 4 until the declaration of winners.
Prior to this virtual session, Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee held a private meeting on Friday night, details of which have not been disclosed. Initially planned as a solo address by the General Secretary, the meeting will now feature both Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee addressing the agents.
In a recent social media video, Mamata Banerjee encouraged counting agents to stay vigilant and committed during the counting process. She emphasized the importance of agents remaining present at the counting tables until the process concludes, ensuring trustworthy replacements if needed.
The Chief Minister also urged party members not to lose hope despite various exit polls predicting a change in government. Many polls have forecasted the end of Trinamool Congress’ long-standing rule and the potential rise of the Bharatiya Janata Party in West Bengal.
