West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee emphasized that the LPG produced in the state should not be sent outside until the current supply crisis is resolved. She raised concerns that due to the Election Commission of India’s extensive transfers of officials, there is a risk of state-produced LPG being diverted elsewhere. Banerjee stressed the importance of ensuring that the people of West Bengal have access to the cooking gas they need during this critical period.

The Chief Minister criticized the ECI for allegedly removing names from voter lists without providing hard copies of the supplementary lists as ordered by the Supreme Court. She condemned this action as an attack on democracy and expressed confidence that those responsible would be held accountable. Banerjee called for transparency in the voter registration process and questioned whether the country belongs to a single political party.
